Rawlkhang self help group members are undertaking mushroom culturing in their own initiative, with the help of KVK at N.Vanlaiphai, they had developed their skills and are engaging in this livelihood, This SHG is identified by watershed Committee at N.Vanlaiphai from the SHGs formed under MZ State Rural Livelihood Mission, under supervision of Zodintluanga , Cluster Coordinator, MZSRLM, we we are practising convergence with MZSRLM, RD Scheme in our Block, since we are targeting the same women rural poor wherever we can within our block.
Josefa SHG, Khawlailung was assisted under IWMP Serchhip III, Livelihood (2013-2014) for the trait of piggery. Josefa SHG was formed under IWMP on 10th March 2014 consisting of eight members. The group has constructed a pig sty and purchased three piglets with the funds it receives under the program.

MS Group, Khawlailung was formed on 6th November 2005 with ten members in the group. It was formed under SGSY and then converted into NRLM in the year 2013. The group became the beneficiary of IWMP Serchhip III, Livelihood in convergence with IWMP. The group choose piggery as their trait under the program and are presently rearing three pigs in a sty constructed from the IWMP fund. The group members felt privileged to be among the few SHGs to have benefitted from the two big programs under RD Department.

Under IWMP, many SHGs members, and individuals identified by Watershed committees in various covered villages have undertaken poultry and piggery to help themselves for their living, many of them have been rearing pigs and poultry successfully. Among them, Lalremruata rears pig successfully and could even sell piglets among the villagers.

This village is not yet covered by the MzSRLM team but there are three SHGs under the IWMP. These SHGs are formed under the SGSY and taken over by the IWMP. These are mixed groups of men and women members. One of the groups owned and run a machine which support a rice mill, flour mill and saw mill. This is the only mills of the village so the group earns good income out of this. Other groups engaged in poultry and piggery.
