Tiau river which flows between Mizoram and Myanmar is rich in Natural resources, Tlakdih valley which is situated at the bank of the river has a good quality fine sand which is required for various construction works, The road Sailulak to tiau constructed under BADP could not lead directly to Tlakdih and is longer in length that is why diversion of road from Fanai buk to Tlakdih was proposed under BADP, till now 37.5 lakh have been utilized and is serving the people in Sailulak and other villages to go to their field and to hunt for various natural resources in a virgin forest which is very rich in natural resources even before completion of the road construction. The road would be helping the people to extract sand and would increase their income when it is completed.

This MTR road was constructed and was completed in the year 2004 under BADP . The road covers 16 kms and is upgraded from fund received under Border Area Development Programme every year starting from 2011-2012 till now; the terrain is landslide prone area that is why up gradation is required oftenly as this is their main route for extraction of sand especially during spring season.
Sailulak village is located in the eastern corner of E.Lungdar R.D block bordering Myanmar in the South eastern site. Tiau river which is flowing between Myanmar and Mizoram is very productive, it produces sand for construction of building and masonry works, and this sand is a great source of income for the villagers, other nearby villages are also extracting the sand for building construction and other masonry works. In addition to this, the villagers have their ginger, orange plantation and fields at Tlakdih valley, with the ongoing NWDPRA scheme implemented by Agriculture Dept the villagers are expected to have more production and more benefit from the road up gradation which serves as a way for transportation of their agriculture products and sand which is readily available at the bank of Tiau river.

Brief write-ups with photograph:
Sailulak High School which was constructed in the year 2011-2012 under BADP is really a blessing for the Villagers. The nearest village which is Leng Village is about 10 kms from Sailulak and could not be easily accessible due to bad road communication and most of the villagers could not afford to get education in bigger towns or Cities. Being located in the border, the villagers need an education to tackle various challenges that crop up in remote area. This High school building construction under BADP helps the people in many ways and enables them to get good education in their own village.
